Abstract

For the sake of coherence, this account is written chiefly in the person of the first author, though it represents the joint recollection of both authors, who were party to the cloning of Lps. Numerous dates and events were reconstructed based upon meticulous records kept by Betsy Layton, Administrative Assistant to the first author, who also participated in the cloning effort. Scientific citations are indicated in superscript and are to be found under References; comments are indicated as {n} and are to be found under Notes (section before References).
