Abstract
The current-density dependence of nickel gas electrodes with different structures on the pressure difference between the gas and the electrolyte has been investigated. The experimental results are explained by assuming an electrodes model which comprises two kinds of pores. According to this model the electrochemical reaction takes place on the surface of macropores free from electrolyte and in the vicinity of the mouth of micropores filled with electrolyte. The current flows through the micropores filled with electrolyte. The problem of capillary equilibrium in porous bodies is considered.
