Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of treatment of low systemic blood pressure on posterior ocular hemodynamic parameters in patients with normal pressure glaucoma. Four such patients were treated with fludrocortisone and associated hemodynamic changes of the posterior ocular vasculature were assessed by color Doppler imaging. The treatment of low systemic blood pressure may increase the blood flow through the posterior ocular vasculature in patients with normal pressure glaucoma.
