The electromagnetic (EM) localization in two-dimensional (2D) random dipolar systems was studied. The localization depended on a number of parameters including frequency, filling factor and damping rate. The spatial behavior of the total, coherent, and diffusive waves was explored which was found to comply with a physical intuitive picture. The results show that the diffusion portion in the total energy is much smaller than the coherent portion, indicating that the mean free path is very small.
