Abstract
This chapter describes the pharmacologic treatment of a variety of psychiatric conditions that are encountered in dermatologic practice. Commonly encountered conditions covered in this chapter include depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, somatic symptom disorders, and delusional disorders. In addition, the potential psychiatric side effects of certain dermatologic treatments and the potential dermatologic side effects of commonly used psychiatric medications are outlined.
