Abstract

Although not commonly the first choice for lower extremity recipient vessels, exposure and utilization of the peroneal artery and vein can help salvage the traumatized, vasculopathic, or anatomically anomalous leg. This chapter describes the pertinent anatomy of the peroneal vessels and its perforators as recipients for microsurgical free tissue reconstruction.
