Abstract
The potential versatility of the use of tritiated thymidine for in vivo studies in biologic tissues is limited by the difficulty in counting this weak beta emitter even by liquid scintillation systems. A method of rapid preparation of the tissues and the use of a gel suspension in scintillator is described. This permits ease of handling and efficient counting and yields replicable results.
