Abstract

The roles of inflammation, fibrosis, and adipose deposition in response to lymph stasis are critical to understanding the pathogenesis of lymphedema. This chapter reviews our current understanding of the key targets in the inflammatory and fibrotic mechanisms associated with lymphedema, as well as new therapies that target inflammation and fibrosis.
