N2 - Background: Stress urinary incontinence in women can be treated by injectable bulking agents. Durasphere is promoted as a nonantigenic, noncarcinogenic and nonmigratory substance. Case History: A 67-year-old-woman underwent multiple treatments for stress urinary incontinence, including 2 periurethral injections of Durasphere. Several months later, a voiding cystogram, ordered to assess her persistent incontinence, revealed Durasphere beads on each side of the urethra as well as in the adjacent lymphatic channels. Conclusion: This case report underlines the potential hazard of particle migration with this agent.
