Abstract

A number of chromatographic solvents and thin-layer chromatographic matrices were tested for their effectiveness in separating thymine dimers from thymine by one-dimensional chromatography. One combination, viz., watersaturated ethylacetate:n-propanol on silica gel thin layers was found to be particularly useful.
