Abstract
Impairment of immunity after treatment for cancer occurs with increasing frequency due to the use of more intense chemotherapeutic regimens and bone marrow transplantation. While most aspects of immune competence recover promptly following cessation of treatment, long-term clinically significant deficiencies remain.
