Abstract

This article discusses the anatomy and physiology of the inner ear, the mechanisms of normal balance maintenance, the key points of the history and physical examination, simple and advanced diagnostic maneuvers, common causes of vertigo, and the surgical and medical measures used to mitigate these symptoms.
