Abstract

The proceedings of the 11th International Congress of Chemotherapy and the 19th Interscience Conference on antimicrobial agents and chemotherapy are presented in 2 volumes. Volume II contains papers on the subject of antimicrobial agents and infectious disease dealing with the following topics: bacterial adherence; host defense mechanisms; experimental infections; vaccines; anaerobic infections; endocariditis; enteric infections; fungal infections; legionnaires and other pulmonary infections; meningitis; miscellaneous infections; mycobacteria; nosocomial infections; parasite diseases; infections in pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology and surgery; viral infections and antivirals. Furthermore, two sections deal with infection and cancer, resp. cancer chemotherapy.
