N2 - This article briefly reviews the alcohol epidemiological evidence on health disparities across whites, blacks, and Hispanics. Compared with whites, Hispanic men have higher rates of alcohol-related problems, intimate partner violence, and cirrhosis mortality; black men have higher rates of intimate partner violence and cirrhosis mortality. All groups see treatment as an appropriate intervention to address alcohol problems, and there also is support for prevention.
