Systemic antibiotic therapy of secondarily infected dermatitis

Abstract

Systemic cloxacillin therapy of secondarily infected dermatitis produces a significant increase in healing when compared to a placebo. The effects of systemic cloxacillin therapy become aparent after 5 days of treatment. A single pretreatment culture was not helpful in directing therapy.
