Abstract
Based on the process of Sputter-Gas-Aggregation, a novel method of Evaporation-Gas-Aggregation (EGA) co-deposition was reported. The Fe-Cu embedded clusters with nanometer size were produced. The investigation from TEM/ED shows that the Fe clusters are embedded in Cu matrix. A core-shell structure with Fe cluster is well formed, in which Fe cluster is the core and Cu coating is the shell in prepared specimens. The morphology of the Fe-Cu clusters tends to be aggregated and lastly become in bulk shape. The structure of Fe-Cu clusters varies from multiple crystal style to irregular single crystal style at the substrate temperature changing from 25°C to 200°C.
