Abstract

The primary structural analysis of the protein products of murine chromosome 17 has been a major focus of our laboratories for the past 4 years. In particular, we have centered our attention on the molecules encoded by the K, I, and S regions of the murine major histocompatibility complex. This article represents a status report of our primary structural characterization of some of these proteins as well as some functional studies on the Ss protein.
