Abstract
The speed of spead of an impulse along a fibre with septa in the case of low electrical resistances of the speta has been calculated. It is shown that the mean speed of spread of the impulse in such a fibre is the same as in the homogeneous fibre in which the resistances of the septa are incorporated into the resistance of the axoplasm per unit length of the fibre.
