N2 - The Novalis system has incorporated the important developments of radiosurgery in the past 50 years. This includes precision, dose conformality to the target, fast dose delivery, the ability to treat lesions in any site of the nervous system, and most recently the ability to treat other sites of the body. This relatively new technology has shown comparable results with traditional radiosurgical techniques and opens new applications for stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic radiotherapy.
