note = "Funding Information: Actively collaborate with national organizations with a shared diversity mission. Surgical departments could commit to becoming institutional members of organizations with the shared mission of inclusion, such as SBAS, SAAS, and the Latino Surgical Society. Such membership would facilitate their active participation in designing and co-developing effective inclusion programs. One such example is the Diverse Surgeon Initiative developed by SBAS and funded through a generous educational grant from Ethicon Endosurgery. This program is currently under consideration for expansion. ",
