Abstract
Equilibrium and relaxation properties of the electric double layer - the capacity, characteristic reorientation frequency, and admittance - are calculated in terms of a model of reorientation of solvent molecules adsorbed on the electrode. Comparison is made with experiment. Nonlinear effects in the double layer are included.
