Abstract
The candle-wax spots constitute a typical manifestation of sarcoidic retinopathy. But lesions of periphlebitis, peripheral retinal hemorrhages, papilledema, macular edema or recurrent vitreous hemorrhages must also suggest a Besnier-Boeck sarcoidosis. Fluorescein angiography shows a leakage of the dye from the capillaries, a fluorescence of the venous wall infiltrations and of the candle-wax retinal nodules.
