Abstract

Rosai-Dorfman disease is a rare non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis which classically presents with cervical lymphadenopathy. Extranodal disease in the head and neck is uncommon. We present a case of histologically confirmed Rosai-Dorfman disease manifesting with chronic rhinosinusitis and subglottic stenosis. The subglottic stenosis caused symptomatic upper airway obstruction, which was successfully treated with in-office endoscopic steroid injection as a bridge to systemic kinase inhibitor therapy, without the need for surgical excision or tracheostomy.
