Abstract
Advances in assisted reproductive techniques including in vitro fertilization using intracytoplasmic sperm injection allows for use of testicular sperm to aid in achieving paternity in men with male factor infertility. Microsurgical testis sperm extraction was developed as a sophisticated method of sperm retrieval and increases the probability of successful retrieval of sperm in these men.
