Abstract

The growth metabolism of Pseudomonas maltophilia (P. maltophilia) AT18, Escherichia coli HB101, E. coli HB101/WSY (containing mel gene) and E. coli HB101/pUC18 was studied by means of microcalorimetry. The experimental results show that bacterial growth metabolism is correlated with the sizes of plasmid, and low temperature treatment has obvious effect on the growth of engineering bacteria E. coli HB101/WSY.
