Abstract

Progress in the management of Hodgkin's disease has been impressive. This improvement is due to a number of inter-related developments, in particular, accurate staging, the use of super-voltage radiotherapy, and the combined chemotherapy regimens. Current efforts are being directed toward finding the optimum amount of treatment for any patient defined as that which gives the best opportunity for cure or long-term survival, with the lowest risk of complications and finding better ways to treat the relapsed patient.
