Abstract

RADIATION THERAPY is a form of cancer treatment that uses ionizing radiation to kill cancer cells. The success of modern radiation therapy heavily relies on computations. With the recent advancements in imaging and treatment technologies, it is faced with two conflicting requirements. They are the invention of novel algorithms for certain clinical purposes and the challenge to solve these problems arising from computations efficiently for clinical applications.
