Abstract
In vivo 1H MRS enables the noninvasive determination of tissue concentrations of various metabolites and compounds in animals or humans. This is highly relevant for physiological studies and clinical diagnostics. After reviewing the basic principles the present article summarizes state-of-the-art methodology for in vivo 1H MRS.
