Abstract
Many liver lesions exhibit a central scar. Although the imaging features are often overlapping, a combination of clinical history and the imaging appearance of the central scar on computed tomography and magnetic resonance can help in characterizing the lesion. This article reviews the imaging features that enable the radiologist to distinguish among the various hepatic lesions associated with a central scar.
