Abstract
The following on esophageal stem cells and 3D-cell culture models contains commentaries on metaplasia through transdifferentiation and through stem cells; transcription factors that may determine an intestinal-like phenotype; thein vitro, organotypic cell culture models; and the role of stem cells in Barrett's esophagus and its dysplastic progression.
