Abstract
Erectile dysfunction is defined as the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance and vaginal intercourse. The causes of erectile dysfunction can be grouped into two main categories: Psychogenic causes including psychological disorders, stress, performance anxiety, and organic caused including hormonal alteration, neurovascular, drug induced or anatomical abnormalities. Phosphodiesterase type V inhibitors (PDE5I) are FDA approved first line of treatment foe erectile dysfunction.
