N2 - In this issue of the Journal, Abbott et al.1 present findings from an important secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial that identifies predictors of treatment response. Previous research has highlighted the importance of varying trajectories of treatment response.2,3 There is a need to identify factors related to varied treatment outcomes. Determining those who will benefit from treatment compared to those who will not is an important step to personalizing treatments.
