Abstract

A new procedure to determine the deformity plane for long bone from bi-planar radiographic and to approximate its shape on that plane is developed. This procedure can be used for the preoperative planning of angular deformity correction of long bones, especially the tibia or femur [1]. The bone outline obtained in this procedure is used for our Preoperative Planning System for angular deformity correction planning [2][4]. By using this procedure, the third radiographic on the actual deformity plane can be omitted.
