Abstract
Since the development of high resolution thin-section imaging with multidetector computed tomography (CT), cystic lesions are being increasingly identified as incidental findings. The underlying pathologies of these lesions can be completely benign, premalignant, or malignant. Certain imaging findings such as pancreatic ductal dilation, communication with the main pancreatic duct, septations, internal nodularity, and hemorrhage can suggest an underlying pathology and guide appropriate treatment.
