Abstract

Gephyrin-mediated clustering of GABA A and glycine receptors underlies fast inhibitory signaling at central synapses. In this issue of Neuron, Kasaragod et al. (2019) demonstrate that artemisinin antimalarial drugs bind to gephyrin at the same site where the receptor interaction occurs.
