Abstract
We present the surgical management of a patient with aplasia cutis congenita and a large fullthickness osseocutaneous defect of the vertex of the scalp. Surgical management included the placement of an acellular dermal matrix graft under an ultrathin split-thickness skin graft. This treatment resulted in expeditious wound closure and calvarial regeneration, obviating the need for cranioplasty.
