note = "Funding Information: My interest in this fellowship dates back to the 2001 meeting of the Radiological Society of North America, which I attended as a second-year resident from New Zealand. During the meeting, I came to know this fellowship, which at that time was jointly funded by the Radiological Society of North America and the ACR. As I undertook my diagnostic radiology residency and a concurrent PhD, I was convinced that a fellowship in clinical trials of medical imaging would certainly enhance and strengthen my academic interest. I eventually applied for the fellowship in January 2004 and was delighted to receive this award (which had since become funded by the NCI) along with three other fellows, Dr. G. Khanna of the University of Iowa; Dr. C. Comstock of the University of California, San Diego; and Dr. R. Leppeg of Germany. We were individually asked to submit a preliminary concept protocol before we arrived at the ACR{\textquoteright}s Philadelphia headquarters, the home of ACRIN, in October 2004 for the first 3 months of didactic learning. Funding Information: What I learned in my fellowship is extremely valuable and can be applied outside ACRIN for any research project. As part of the experiential component, I am now involved in developing a research protocol and an NIH grant application through the Mayo Clinic, at which I will be commencing a fellowship in nuclear radiology in 2006. In addition, I will be working with the lung committee of ACRIN in its protocol development. ",
